Cities in Poland are different from the huge, urbanized cities in i.e. USA, Germany or Great Britain. In Poland cities grow more in breath rather than to the top. Big skycrapers are rare view reserved mainly for the centrum of capital city - Warsaw.
Many Polish cities were destroyed into the ground during the last World War. Especially Warsaw, which over 90% was ruined. This was and still is Polish curse, that country is placed in the middle of Europe and is affected by almost every war. In Poland there are almost no places which are 'really' old towns. For example Warsaw Old Town, which is on UNESCO list, was totaly rebuild from a scratch.
So have a look on panoramic photos what left and was rebuilt after many wars in Poland.
