Midget or giant with scary eyes, big head, with twisted arms, green skin and long, reaching bottom breast. This is description of Dziwożona (can be translated as Suprisewife) also called Mamuna (this name is variation of word tantalize, mommy and woman) - Polish swamps demon.

According to folk's beliefs such deamons aren't so scarry at all, because they attacted only mothers of illegitimate or nonbabtised children. What is interesting they attack with... own breast ;-) Apparently it was very unpleasant. Mamun's are using their breast like flail with so precision and determination, that they can even kill with such weapon.

We recommend to be carefull during contact with Mamuns, because they also could switch the children. When mother doesn't care enough to her child, Dziwożona tries to still her baby and switch with devil's child.

There is however a way to get back stolen child. The mother has to leave the devil's child. Mamuna, touched be baby's cry will take him and give back taken one.
