The plant was to be built near Krotoszyn near Żarownowiec lake. This is why it's been called Żarnowiec Nuclear Plant. Construction began in 1982 and lasted almoust 9 years. The plant had to have four power buildings and give 1600 mega wats of energy. Everything was fine until the catastrophe in Czernobyl (explosion of nuclear plant). This resulted in waves of protests and finnaly workers abandoned contruction site. There was of course other reasons as to small performance of power plant and changes in political and economical situation in Poland.
