When Poland, as one of the members of Warsaw Pact, participated in the attack on Czechoslovakia, Polish communist government organized central Harvest Festival (Dożynki). This festival was to divert attention from this, what Poland had to be involved. Warsaw Pact (at a glance) was military pact controlled by the ZSRR in opposition to NATO. Poland under the pressure of Soviet government, had no choice and  joined ZSSR's military operation.

Today we present video with Polish prototype cars from communism era. Unfortunately, due to political regim none from the prototypes were produced. It's a great pity, becouse for example Syrena Sport looks great even today.

Today we present a few interesting films from the Polish Film Chronicle from the time of the PRL. All videos are about vehicles but some of them may seem very funny in current days. Especially the one about tuning. Theme of this reportage may cause a slight smile: "from each wreck we do the Fiat' More funny are the possibilities of tuning: galvanized watering can to refill the water, bucket for gasoline, or cabinet TV station.

Warszawa (Warsaw) was the first polish  car after II World War. The production started in 1951 in august and ended after 22 years in 1973. Finnaly over 250.000 were produced. Warsaw construction based on Russian Gaz M20 Pobieda. License of that car was a 'gift' from Joseph Stalin. This gift cost Poland over 130.000.000 Polish zlotys but it wasn't total cost Additional machinery from Russia cost over 250 milion zlotys.
