During the German occupation in Poland in 1939-1945, Nazis authorities banned the breeding of pigeons. They feared that pigeons would be able to bypass German armies and deliver messages from other countries to Poland or messages from resistance. But the most, Nazis were feared that the world would get know what happens in Poland.

Zombie Walk in 2008Zombie Walk is an interesting annual event in Poland in which hundreds of people dressed up as zombies march through the streets of Warsaw. It looks really scary, especially that sometimes they're fought by the army, which is of course fake. The whole thing looks very realistic, just like in zombie movies. Enjoy the videos.

Polish oligchars from the Second Polish Republic were able without the agreement of the king to pursue his own foreign policy and even own wars with other countries! It was possible, because magnates had a lot of money and lands and they made depednent from them smaller land owners. Powerfull oligarchs lent smaller landlords moneys. Very often debtors could not pay back their debts. Since then they were under control. They have to vote on their debtors in Polish councils.
