During the German occupation in Poland in 1939-1945, Nazis authorities banned the breeding of pigeons. They feared that pigeons would be able to bypass German armies and deliver messages from other countries to Poland or messages from resistance. But the most, Nazis were feared that the world would get know what happens in Poland.

Żubr, also called European Bizon or wisent, is an animal which can be found in Poland in Bialowieski National Park. Such creatures is about 3 m (10 ft) long and 1.8 to 2.2 m (6 to 7 ft) tall, and weighs 300 to 920 kg (660 to 2,000 lb). It is lighter and shorter than related American Bizon. Wisents, have have few predators (besides humans) such as wolfs and bears. They eats herbs, grass, bark, acorns and leafs - about 50-60kg per day. They gaters in herds of 10-15 individuals.
