Gemini 3 - Polish catamaran under Roman Paszke command is one of the fastest sailingboat ever. Sailing across the Atlantic from the West to the East takes this catamaran only 8 days 23 hours and 27 seconds. It is the World record. Last one was 11 days 5 hours and 32 minutes (MAXI „Capricorno” Catamaran) and was beaten two months ago - on 19.04.2010 - by Polish vessel.

MAXICATAMARAN GEMINI III

Catamaran GEMINI III was built in Sweden in Marstorm Composite Shipyard in Carbon Pre-Preg / Nomex technology. Thanks to carbon materials it's very lightweight (only 9 tons) for its size. It is 27m long and 14m wide. It's mast has 33 meters and on it hang sailis with whole side surface equals 350/729m. All these parameters allow catamaran to run with speed 38,4 knots (it's about 70 km/h!).
