UFO in Polish mountains

Ok, it's not real UFO, but has very similar shape. It is meteorological observatory on Snieżka (what means Snow White) mountain.

The observatory was built in 1966-1974 from reinforced concrete, steel and aluminum. The construction was inspired by UFO and designed by Witold Lipiński and Waldemar Wawrzyniak. Observatory won an award on World Architecture Exhibition in Mexico city.

The highest disk - meteorological observatory - has the smallest diameter, 13 m

The middle disk - technical magazine with observatory equipment - 20 m diameter

The lower disk - restaurant with terrace, shop with souvenirs - 30 m diameter

In 2009 the walls on highest disk started to break. On 16.03 steel structure supporting the disk was damaged. The observatory had to be moved to the middle disk.
