The Leaning Tower in Torun - one of the two in Poland - was built in XIII. Of course, at first the tower was straight, but during years it started to lean because of soft ground. Nowadays it has more than 5 degrees tilt.

The history of Torun's tower is very interesting:
- first it was defense building,
- later, after adjustments it was prison for the woman
- later, the tower was rebuilt to forge and living place for the gunsmith
- later, the tower was rebuilt once again to be a living place for more people
- later, the tower served as cafe
- and finally, till now, in the tower ther is Torun City Cultural Institution headquarter.
