In Grunwald in 1410, during the Great War beetwen Polish kingdom and Teutonic Knights Order, one of the greatest battle took place. This combat was fortunately won by Poland and Lithuania (then this countries were in union).

The main cause of the war, was in very, very short, Teutonic Knights Order, which was brought to Polish lands by one of the king (Konrad of Masovia) to help with the Crusade against pagan Prussians. The Order developed itself very quickly and started to expand it's territory by sword. Instead of fighting with pagans Teutonic Knights become a real threat to Poland and Lithuania.
