Soon Eurosport viewers in 59 countries will watch the live broadcasts of major cycling competitions in Poland - Tour de Pologne.

Tour de Pologne is one of the oldest Polish cycling races. It has more than 80-year history. The first time the race was organized in 1928, was called "Run Around the Polish" and had 71 competitors. After World War II race was still organized, but always with the status of amateur race. The race became fully professional in 1993, when Czeslaw Lang invested his own resources and took over organization of the race. Currently, the Tour de Pologne is held (as marked UCI ProTour) 2HC category, which allows to compare it to the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France.

This year's Tour de Pologne will run the route, which can be seen here. It is worth mentioning that among the runners will be Toue De France winner - Oscar Pereiro.
