Who invented the fork? Italy, or ... Poland? Many historians believe that it is Italy. However, Poland had a lot of merit in this topic. It is suspected that the queen Bona brought forks to the Poland. It is also known, that it were Poles, who began to use a fork soon after the Italians.

That's right. What's more, France spreaded a fork in the world, but it was brought to this country with escaping Polish King Henry Walezy - later King Henry III of France.
Henry reigned in Poland less than a year. Poland did not please him as well as 30 years older Anna the Jagiellonian (Anna Jagielonka), who was to be his wife. 23-year-old Henry, who wore earings like woman, loved balls and was assumed to have been homosexual or at least bisexual, appreciated in Poland, only one - fork.

Escaping in 1574 to France, Henry took with him this very useful little thing, which was used in Poland for quite some time, (because Polish lords did not want to wash their hands before eating). In this way, the fashion for using a fork, spread throughout the world.
