Nature reserve Meteoryt Morasko is the place where 4700 - 6100 years ago the gigantic meteorite fell from the sky. It is estimated, that meteor had about 4500 tons before crossing the atmosphere! The biggest piece of meteor crushed and vaporized in explosion with force estimated at 0.2 kilotones. This collision created crater with near 100 meters in diameter.

Funny story: There are so many meteor fragments in Morasko, that one of them (78kg) served as a burden to the farmer's plow.

 

The biggest piece of meteor, found in Morasko, has 178 kg (after cleaning 164 g).
