The peregrine falcon is one of the most famous and characteristic Polish birds.Sadly, it is now one of the species on the verge of extinction. Poland from the 80th is trying to rebuild the population of this bird.

In 1998 in Warsaw, Polish capital city, near the tallest building in Poland - Palace of Culture and Science(PKiN) -  couple of hawks began to circle. To everyone's surprise the bird's couple opted for an apartment window on the floor 45 where they built a nest. Since then, the falcon's 'marriage' waited already 17 young birds. This year, the pair incubate the 4 eggs

 

Very quickly hawks became popular. In internet there is a TV channel, where You can watch birds live. Warsaw announced a contest to decide how to name the falcons. Won the names Wars and Sawa - according to the legend Wars and Sawa were legendary founders of the city.
